You've got a big RV to cool and chilly mornings that sneak up fast. This rooftop unit from GE Appliances has an AC for hot days and a built-in heat pump for cooler nights. Great for saving propane by using electric heat during cooler weather.

Highlights

  • Heats and Cools Like It Should: 15,000 BTUs of real cooling power - perfect for larger rigs, camping in hotter climates, or if you want more aggressive temperature control.
  • No Ducts, No Problem: Made for RVs without ducted air - ideal for replacing your existing setup or running a second cooling setup.
  • Everything's in the Box: Comes with an air distribution box, a thermostat, and a control board - no piecing it together later.
  • Built-In Heat Pump for Electric Heating: Adds electric heat to keep your RV comfortable without relying on your propane furnace.
  • Protects Against Wind, Rain, and Road Debris: Reinforced shroud helps prevent damage from highway conditions and everyday use.
  • Future-Proof Cooling: Runs on R32 refrigerant, so you're not stuck with an outdated system in a year or two.

Features to know about

Extra Power

If you've got more RV to cool, or you're chasing summer across the Southwest, a standard AC unit might not cut it. This 15,000 Btu rooftop system from GE Appliances gives you more cooling power for bigger rigs, hotter climates, or anyone who just wants to beat the heat. It gives you more muscle to handle hot days, high ceilings, and sun-baked campgrounds without breaking a sweat.

Heats Without Wasting Propane

Heating with propane brings two problems: it costs more than you think, and you're never sure if you have enough to get through the night. This rooftop unit with a built-in heat pump changes that. The heat pump uses electric power to take the edge off cold mornings, so your furnace doesn't have to do all the work. You get reliable warmth through the same ceiling assembly you use for cooling, and the more you heat with electric, the less propane you burn. It's one less system to manage, and one more reason you can camp longer without thinking about your fuel gauge.

Fewer Parts, Faster Setup, Direct Cooling

Ductless air conditioners move air straight into the RV without relying on ceiling ductwork, making them ideal for smaller rigs, retrofits, or any setup where simplicity matters. With a ductless system, what you see is what you get: a rooftop unit connected directly to a ceiling assembly that pushes steady airflow into your living space. They're also perfect for adding a second AC to areas that never cool down properly, like an upper bunk or bonus room. If your RV has no ductwork, a ductless setup gives you cooling power you can feel.

A Smarter, Future-Ready Choice

A lot's changed in RV cooling over the years, and one of the biggest shifts is what's inside the system - not just the tech, but the refrigerant itself. This model uses R-32, a newer refrigerant that cools efficiently while producing significantly less environmental impact. It's cleaner, more future-friendly, and already becoming the standard across the industry. If you're replacing an aging unit, you're not just upgrading your airflow you're upgrading what's behind it.

Had this unit installed professionally and immediately went in a camping trip. Unit is not working properly. I have been told it is probably a faulty temperature sensor. No one at GE will help me because they will only speak to a technician. Every technician I have called in my area will not work on GE telling me they are a nightmare took in and with.

  • Replacement AC for Coleman Mach 7000 on 2003 Fleetwood Discovery 38U
Hey Keith! I just got your questions so I'll address everything on this one. All of the replacement AC units have switched to the new R32 refrigerant so a complete replacement is necessary. This will include a wall thermostat so you don't have to worry about compatibility or if the existing one even works. The GE AC you were looking at will work as a replacement for the Coleman. The correct system will depend on whether you have a ducted or ductless setup, the color, and if you want the...

  • Best Replacement For Duo-Therm 630035.321 On Holiday Rambler Motorhome
Hello Mike, thanks for reaching out. We do have a solution for replacing your Duo-Therm unit, but we do not offer a direct replacement for this. The best option for a replacement will be to replace the entire AC system. The reason for this is new RV AC units use new R32 refrigerant and these units are not backwards compatible with old AC systems. So for a replacement I recommend the following: - GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - Black - Complete System...

  • Solution for Needing Replacement GE Upper RV AC Unit ARC15AACBL2
Hey Todd, so you will need to replace your entire system unfortunately because your system is currently using an outdated refrigerant and the current upper unit replacements will not work with your lower vent assembly because of this. As of January of 25' all AC units have to be used with the current refrigerant and are not backwards compatible. So what you'd want is the part # GE34RR which comes with everything and is a 15k BTU black GE AC unit like you are looking for.

  • Replacement AC System w/ Heat Pump for a Dometic AC
Hey Cody. We do not have any Dometic replacement AC units or compatible systems that you could use. In order to replace your AC and add a heat pump you'll need to purchase a new system. I have a couple of options for you but none of them are going to be plug and play. These are brand new systems from GE that include a heat pump along with a 15,000 btu AC unit. These units have the new R32 refrigerant which meets 2025 EPA regulations so they're not going to be backwards compatible with...

These units have the new R32 refrigerant which meets 2025 EPA regulations so they're not going to be backwards compatible with your current air distribution box or thermostat. • Replacement AC for a GE AC Unit Model ARC13AACBL2
Hey Eric, thanks for the information! Your older GE ARC13AACBL2 with 410a refrigerant is not going to be compatible with any AC components that came out this year. Everything has the new R32 refrigerant now so it's made all the 410a systems and components obsolete. I recommend upgrading your entire system now because spare parts for the old 410a systems are not going to be around long and you won't be able to source replacements down the road. Here are the options I have to replace your...

  • Replacement AC System for a Dometic Penguin II w/ Heat Pump 651916H751C0-M
Hey Mark, it is not. The Dometic Penguin II High Capacity RV Air Conditioner item # DMC68ZR is 651916HXX1C0-01 or Dometic part number 9600003815. We do not carry this unit anymore nor do we have an option to replace your Dometic Penguin II 651916H751C0-M. The new AC systems have converted over to the new R32 refrigerant so the only solution I would have to replace your AC units are with brand new systems like the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat item # GE34RR for ductless...

  • Availability of Plug and Play Replacement for Dometic Duo-Therm 630515
Hey Paul! Your Dometic Duo-Therm is an old R410A unit. Since everyone had to switch to R32 refrigerant due to the 2025 EPA regulations there are no plug and play replacements available. The new units aren't backwards compatible so the only option is complete replacement with a new system. Assuming you want to keep the heat pump, I recommend the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System. You can choose from the following based on color and capacity. You will also need to know if your system...

  • GE Deluxe Complete AC Kit For Small Camper Build That Doesn't Have Roof AC Vent Ducting
Good morning Jamal, yes the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR is a complete ductless AC system. It includes the 15,000 Btu rooftop unit, air distribution box, thermostat, and controls, so it’s a good fit for a non-ducted camper build. It also has a built-in heat pump, which is handy for adding electric heat when the weather is cool. Just keep in mind this is a ductless setup, so it’s made for direct airflow from the ceiling assembly rather than ceiling ductwork. What size camper are you...

  • Can The Heat Pump In GE Deluxe AC Kit GE34RR Replace Furnace In Cold Weather?
Hey Tasha! The GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR is a complete ductless 15,000 Btu system with a built-in heat pump, so it can cool your camper and also provide a little bit of electric heat when conditions are right. I would not treat it as a full furnace replacement, though. GE lists the minimum heat pump operating temperature at 25 degrees F, so it’s best for chilly mornings, cool nights, and saving propane when you’re plugged into shore power. Once the weather gets truly cold, your...

  • Which AC System Is More Efficient For Camper On Generator Power?
Good morning Sienna, yes the GE Appliances HE AC unit # GE44FR is the one I’d look at first if generator use and lower power demand are priorities. It’s the 13,500 Btu high-efficiency rooftop unit and is rated for a 15-amp circuit breaker, so it’s the friendlier GE option when you’re working with limited power. Just keep in mind this is the rooftop unit only. For a ducted RV, use the GE install kit # GE56FR. For a ductless RV with no ceiling AC vents, use # GE46FR. If you’d rather step...

  • Choosing Between Different GE AC Units For RV With 30A Service Plug
Good afternoon Naveen, yes the GE Appliances HE # GE44FR is worth looking at for a 30-amp RV because it’s the 13,500 Btu high-efficiency model and is rated for a 15-amp circuit breaker. That can make it a good fit when you’re trying to keep your AC setup a little easier to manage on limited campground power. This one is the rooftop AC replacement unit only, so it’s a good choice if you’re already planning to build out the rest of the GE system with compatible interior components. For a...

  • Replacement AC System For 2021 Jayco Jay Flight 15,000 BTU With Heat Pump For Cold Weather
Good morning Priya, yes the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR uses a built-in heat pump, so it’s different from a small electric heat strip that just takes the chill off right below the ceiling assembly. This unit is designed as a complete ductless 15,000 Btu heat-and-cool system, so it can cool in hot weather and provide electric heat when the conditions are right. The key limit is temperature. GE lists the minimum temperature for heat pump operation at 25 degrees F. So it can be a really...

  • Replacing Old Refrigerant AC System With New R32 AC System On RV
Hey Mina! Yes, if your existing AC setup is older, a complete system is usually the cleaner way to go now. The newer R32 rooftop units generally need compatible interior controls and air distribution components, so just swapping the rooftop unit onto an older ceiling assembly is usually not the right path. If you want a complete ductless option, the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR is a good example because it includes the rooftop unit, air distribution box, thermostat, and controls....

  • AC System For Small Travel Trailer With Electric Heat Strip For Fall Weather Camping
Good morning Tomas, I’d go with the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR for that. It’s a complete ductless 15,000 Btu system, so it includes the rooftop AC, air distribution box, thermostat, and controls. That's plenty of cooling capacity for a smaller camper. It also has the heat pump built in, which is nice for cool mornings when you’re plugged into shore power and don’t want to fire up the propane furnace. Just remember this is the ductless kit, so it’s for RVs without ceiling AC vents....

  • Which AC Unit With Heat Is Best For Older Camper With No Ceiling Vents
Hey Leila! Yes, the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR is the one I’d look at if you want a complete ductless system with electric heat built in. It includes the 15,000 Btu rooftop AC, air distribution box, thermostat, and controls. The built-in heat pump is great for cool mornings when you’re plugged into shore power, but I’d still keep the RV furnace as your main heat source if you plan to some colder weather camping. What camper are you putting it on, Leila?

  • Should I Add Soft Start Capacitor To GE Appliances 15K BTU AC Unit In Camper?
Hey Eliana! The GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR is ready as a complete ductless system, so you’ll get the rooftop unit, air distribution box, thermostat, and controls together. For a normal shore-power setup, I’d start with the system as designed and make sure the RV has the proper electrical circuit for it. That said, if you’ve had startup issues with previous ACs or you usually run from a smaller generator - around 3,500 watts or less - then adding a soft start is a smart move. The...

  • Looking For Replacement AC Unit For Camper With No Ceiling Vents
Hey Rosa! Since your camper does not have ceiling vents and you want a complete setup, I’d look at the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus # GE34RR. It’s a complete ductless 15,000 Btu system, so it includes the rooftop unit, air distribution box, thermostat, and controls. That complete-system route is really the best way to go on a replacement like this now. With the newer R32 refrigerant change, just swapping the rooftop unit onto an older ceiling assembly or control setup usually isn’t doable...
